Irene Howell

Arts Director & Lead Teacher

Hi, I am Ms. Irene. I am the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math Coordinator at Station Imagination Learning Center (SILC) and I have four children and six grandchildren. From a young age, childcare and the arts have been a huge part of my life and a passion of mine. 

Station Imagination has always been a dream of mine, but really came to fruition with the birth of our son Joshua. As a “stay at home” mom, I also started caring for the neighbors' children, which led me to become a licensed in-home daycare provider. As my passion grew, I wanted to reach and care for a larger group of children, which led me on the journey and blessing of opening Station Imagination! I have over 20 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. My extensive background includes ownership of several in-home family daycares and completion of directorship training. I have also have my 90-hour training in the infants/toddlers, preschool, and school aged disciplines.

Tony M. Howell

Director

Hi, I am Mr. Tony! I am the director of Station Imagination Learning Center (SILC). I handle the administrative functions at SILC, including payroll, human resources, and information technology, among other daily functions.

I have been in the childcare field for over fifteen years and have 90-hour certifications in in the infant/toddler, preschool, and school age disciplines. Prior to coming to Station Imagination, I work for over 20 years as an administrative assistant and office manager for a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. My goal for the school year and beyond is to ensure that your child receives both a fun-filled and enriching learning experience. We look forward to a wonderful and fun-filled year of learning!

Assistant Director/Lead Teacher

Hi, I’m Vicki! From a young age, I dreamed of being both a mother and a teacher—and I’ve been blessed to live out both roles in full. I’m a proud mother of 9 and a grandmother to 7 wonderful grandchildren.

Working with children has been a lifelong passion of mine. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in many roles: babysitter, in-home daycare owner, licensed childcare center teacher, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School director, and leader of various children's ministry programs. I believe in the power of play and hands-on learning to help children thrive during their early years. I find true joy in watching them grow, explore, and discover the world around them. Guiding children through these important stages of development is more than just a job—it's my calling and one of my greatest joys.

Hello, my name is Naye (nah-jay). I've been working in childcare for almost two years now. Working with children has made me realize that every day is a new adventure, and that is one of the reasons why I love what I do.

I love meeting new little friends and teaching them at the same time I learn from them. It’s exciting and so much fun to see how each child has their own personality. Hello! My name is Nelida, but I go by Nelly. I am pleased to join the amazing staff at Station Imagination for this school year, with this being my second year working in childcare.

I have taken classes for Translation and Interpretation, along with holding a degree in Fine Arts. During my free time I enjoy hiking, creating art pieces, reading, museums and traveling.

Hello, I am Ms. Michionna (Michi) and I love working with children. Prior to coming to Station Imagination, I worked at KinderCare, as well as SLC Learning Centers. It is my goal to ensure that my class is well-rounded, in both their behavioral and educational pursuits! I especially enjoy watching them grow each day and am fascinated watching their physical development and hearing the expansion of their vocabulary.

My name is Ms. JoJo. I am currently working on my 45 hours in Child Growth and Development and Preschool curriculum. I enjoy having the opportunity to assist in the growth and development of children and will assist in all phases of their growth, including small and large motor skills, problem solving, as well as science, technology, arts and math. I look forward to a fun-filled year of growing and learning!
